Founding Product Engineer / OEM Lending

Location: San Francisco preferred; open to remote

Compensation: $170,000 - $210,000 base + up to 1% equity + benefits

We’re looking Product Engineer to join a founding team building a new lending marketplace for untapped vertical. This is an opportunity to lead core 0→1 product builds at the intersection of software, hardware-enabled operations, and finance.

This is a true early-stage role with significant ownership. You will own full-stack product cycles end-to-end, from customer discovery to production deployment. You will occasionally travel to visit customer sites, meet operators and lending partners face-to-face, and build what the field demands.

What you will do

  • Wrap beautiful, functional software around gnarly complexity and legacy systems

  • Own the full product lifecycle, from customer pain to UI/UX design to 0-to-1 full-stack engineering and shipping

  • Design and deploy production-grade LLM systems that automate core loan operations, including underwriting, compliance, and document processing

  • Help build a product culture that harmonizes speed, taste, and customer obsession

What we are looking for

  • 1–6 years of full-time experience shipping production-grade systems

  • Strong product instincts and UI/UX taste, with an ability to make pragmatic product decisions and spin up quick demos

  • Experience with some of the following: Node.js, React, AWS, Postgres, TypeScript

  • Excited about LLMs and modern developer tools

  • Comfortable experimenting with new tools and rapidly prototyping (for example in Figma and other design/prototyping tools)
