Senior Frontend Engineer / Premium Banking

Location: Remote
Compensation: $180k-230k + equity + benefits

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a profitable, product-led fintech and travel startup building a next-generation premium banking and rewards ecosystem. This is a $3.2T opportunity to redefine the super-premium financial services and rewards market and drive innovation beyond what's existed since the inception of rewards credit cards.

Your Responsibilities
 As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work closely with the design team to translate visual concepts into robust, production-ready web experiences.

The user-facing features are held to an exceptionally high standard and the quality of the interface is a core part of how they deliver value to customers. That's one of the key ways they stand out against the bigger banks with travel rewards: traditional credit card rewards are hard to maximize and use properly largely because of convoluted interfaces. They want to deliver a travel rewards experience that is intuitive and genuinely helpful, so customers never have to worry about whether they're getting the best points deal. They believe complexity should be handled under the hood, not pushed onto the user, and they build accordingly.

The role will require you to:

  • Partner with cross-functional teammates to define scope, prioritize features, and shape product direction

  • Contribute to code and design reviews with a focus on maintainability and sound architecture

  • Produce clean, well-tested, thoroughly documented code that others can build on

  • Help establish and evolve frontend conventions and patterns that scale with the team

  • Balance hands-on delivery with mentorship and technical guidance for colleagues

What We're Looking For

  • Substantial professional engineering experience, ideally across both early-stage and mature engineering environments

  • A strong track record shipping production frontend software with modern tooling

  • A sharp eye for design detail and a genuine commitment to user experience quality

  • Comfort working across the stack, including data layers and service integrations

Nice-to-Haves

  • A love of travel (hacking) and credit card rewards

  • Prior experience in a technical leadership or standards-setting capacity

  • Familiarity with backend development and relational data modeling

  • Exposure to compliance-heavy or highly regulated technical environments
